June 26th
- Menu Charts | Save Objects will write objects to a file that a new chart can open even though original chart may be in a workspace.

June 19th
- Fixed Ensign Data Server (EDS) for TraderBytes feed to handle negative index values such as with symbol -$TICX.
June 12th
- Added more logic so that a Minute database file that is locked must be unlocked before a refresh can replace its content. This should prevent a refresh with September contract data being merged into a file originally built with June contract data.

- Fixed the option to Insert Zero Volume Bars failing to insert filler bars at the opening of a session.
June 4th
- Improvements so TraderBytes users can chart pre/post market stock prices by extending market hours. Also upgrade EDS to the latest version.
- Changed the default refresh source to be TraderBytes for TraderBytes symbols.
May 2009
- Support IQFeed client version 4.6.0.2, which has efficiency improvements via compression in traffic with home servers. 4.6.0.2 is in beta testing phase.
- A Finished message will show on the main caption line when a Refresh has been received and merged into the databases and charts.
- Some index symbols have a valid price update of zero, which will now get charted instead of filtered.
- Fixed the Bar Data panel's Timer field not updating when the cursor is parked over the chart.
- Added a Fork Variation listbox to the Andrews Pitchfork to replace the Schiff and Modified Schiff check boxes. The Andrews pitchfork is the 1st selection, Schiff 2nd, Modified Schiff 3rd. The other 8 selections are new variations invented by Ensign Software.
- Fixed the IB version so ES options would be received. Example symbol for the Setup | Manager list: ES M9C900
- Added 'Number' as a Selection on the Study Grid object for use with a CCI study on charts that quote in 32nds, such as ZB.
- Added ability to send Ensign Messages to users of a particular data feed or specific Ensign Windows version.
- Added a Help button on the Internet Services form by the Template bullet to show a Cross Reference. read more »
- Fixed the installation process so an upgrade retains your Symbol Properties table instead of replacing with Ensign's defaults. This unintended replacement was present in the May 1st through May 8th versions.
- The TraderBytes web site is accepting subscriptions for their low cost data feed. This feed is supported by Ensign Windows.

- Added a chart property for setting a Top and Bottom margin in pixels. Similar to setting a right side margin.
- Added a symbol property for defining whether a daily bar begins with the open of the 1st session or the 2nd session.
- Fixed the Custom Symbols with the IQFeed to maintain their daily High and Low fields. Be sure to Upgrade to the latest IQFeed Client which is version 4.5.0.3 on the Downloads page of this web site.
- Implemented a timeout for eSignal tick refresh to merge in the ticks received in spite of not getting the end-of-transmission packet.
- Updated the charts button for the B-Line chat room to reference a new URL for the charts server at dachart.com
- Time and Sales form for the eSignal feed will show Form-T prices and tick volumes for stocks in the pre-market.
- Significant efficiency improvement in processing IQFeed feed. Requires IQFeed Client version 4.5.0.3. All IQFeed users should upgrade both Ensign Windows and IQFeed Client.
- Added a Constant field to the Setup | Custom Symbols form for the Spread formula. If you use Custom Symbol spreads, please reload each spread into the form, edit the new Constant field to be zero, and click the Resave button to store the spread.
- Support IB feed with custom labeled TWS for PTI ProDirect.
- Significant efficiency improvement in processing eSignal feed. All eSignal users should upgrade.
March 2009
- Fixed Day Light Savings issue for European zones where in the Daily Price Lines were located on the wrong date.
- Added font size 7 to the bottom of the font size selection list on the Note property form.
- Added option on the Fibonacci Levels draw tool to plot price divisions on a chart using a Log Scale.
- Added new Volume tab on chart property form for additional control over the volume scale, such as to have a Fixed Range.
- Changed the IB feed default exchange from ECBOT to NYSELIFFE for the futures symbols: YG, YI, ZG and ZI.
- Fixed eSignal feed having time stamps that retrogress which would cause multiple intra-day bars to show on the chart.
- Fixed the 1st Internet source for obtaining daily bar for today. Fix was needed to account for changes in the structure of the data format from this source.
- ESPL studies using the Show Value option will format the values according to the Study format selection on the Chart Properties form.
- Adjust weekly and monthly volumes from 1st Internet source to show a period total instead of a daily average.
- Fixed Day Light Savings sync issue. Bars with time stamps off by 1 hour seen on intra-day charts with timeframes over 60 minutes. Example: EUR/USD+.480 chart.
- Added private chart property on the property form's Data tab to disable saving the chart file. Default is to save the file. This property would be used when a chart has a small Maximum Bars setting and you do not want the chart to resize the file because another chart for this symbol has a larger Maximum Bars setting.
- Force the refresh for Daily, Weekly and Monthly charts to use DTN Market Access source for TransAct Futures since TA does not have a daily refresh.
- Fixed the display of extra or missing bars related to European zones not being on Day Light Savings whereas the US zones are now on Day Light Savings. Example chart: GBL M9-DTB using the Berlin zone and hours 8:00 - 19:00.
- Added support for time zones which include a 30 minute offet, ie. Caracas,Newfoundland,Tehran,Kabul,Delhi,Yangon and Adelaide. The new zones can be selected on the bottom of the Show Time Zone selection box on the Setup | Computer form.
- Force older Win 2K operating systems with April 5th, 2009, Day Light Savings start date to use March 8th, 2009.
- Added property on the Setup | Computer form for maximum number of days to look back when extracting data from the Tick database to build tick based bars. The entry is labeled 'Tick Files' and the default is 365 days.
- Added property on the Setup | Computer form for maximum number of days to look back when extracting data from the Minute database to build intra-day bars. The entry is labeled 'Minute Files' and the default is 800 days.
- Support IB feed with custom labeled TWS for Kinetic Securities.
- Added a degree marker on the bottom of the marker list as DEG. This will show the slope of a line in degrees, which will change if either the bar spacing or the scale range is changed.
- Added check box option to show the Minimize/Maximize buttons when the chart is in the mode to not show its scale and time. This option is on the Setup | Charts form and is named 'Show Minimize/Maximize in No Scale mode'.
February 2009
- The location of the Exit Ensign prompt window is tested to force it into the visible view. The prompt was off the bottom of the screen when closing Ensign from the task bar while Ensign was minimized.
- Fixed an endless loop created by a study drawing in the Volume sub-window with the option to plot Open Interest checked. Symptom would be the chart scale would not show because of the endless repaint cycle for the chart and the Volume sub-window.
- Fixed the eSignal symbol HSI G9-HKF to show on the Other Futures market group quote page instead of on an options page, and symbols from the OSM exchange to show on Other Futures instead of Other Stocks.
- Fixed the Price Histogram recalculation of the POC when the Visible Bars mode is selected.
- Fixed ESPL ability to create a study object and set its Privatize flag.
- Fixed ESPL so when the SetUser statement sets a sub-window's scale, this scale is remembered.
- Added Message box for Time and Sales when the Find button on the form is clicked and the needed Tick database file does not exist.
- Fixed the D:T marker used with Arrow objects which would start a new bar on intra-day charts with each tick.
January 2009
- Increased the depth of Ensign's Forex intra-day refresh from 75,000 to 100,000 1-minute records, and the tick refresh 100,000 to 250,000 ticks. All FXCM and dbFX users should upgrade Ensign Windows.
- Added Setup | Charts option to Auto Rebuild Intra-day Bars for Today when a chart is opened. Reason for rebuilding is perhaps the Minute database was incomplete earlier and was refreshed while this chart was closed. Default will be to have this feature enabled.
- Added DYO selections to Chart Value for the Bar Index for Yesterday's High and Yesterday's Low. The bar indexes can be used to determine which occurred first.
- Added DYO selections for Section Line Logic to support labels and colors from 3 different lines, which ever line is True is used.
- Interface with Ninja Trader for access to the free Zen-Fire data feed and other feeds. read more »
- Added check box for Show Inverse Pairs on the Setup | Connection form for the free Forex feeds. Check the box to have the inverse relationship symbols and prices shown on the Forex quote page. read more »
- Implemented the free dbFX Forex feed from Deutsche Bank. Select this feed on the Setup | Connection 3rd Data Source frame.

- Implemented support for stock symbols on the OpenTick feed which use a -P suffix. Examples: SPY-P and GLD-P.
- Added % Williams selection to the Grid Object for use with the William's %R study so that the scale can be correctly labeled.
