July 2010

July 22nd

  • Fixed the IQFeed version to correctly request @ESU10 symbol instead of @ESU0 when @ESU0 is used on the Setup | Manager form. All IQFeed users should get this version.
  • Fixed Options form to display Stock options for eSignal and IB feeds.
  • IB stock options with 2 expiry dates per month require the expiration day added in the symbol format: symbol 10ddMstrike. Example: SPY 1017U108.
  • Fixed the default symbol for the London stock exchange refresh from 1st Internet source for IB symbols on the LSE exchange.
  • Fixed eSignal feed display of quotes sent in quarter 32nds.

June 2010

  • Changed the Time and Sales form to continue to show the Up tick and Down tick coloring on equal ticks.
  • Fixed Account order entry for DTN satellite feed to eliminate the multiple Stock Options market group selections.
  • Support the DTN satellite feed change to the Spread symbols. Ensign converts the new format into the old format to be backward compatible so there is no change to the end user.
  • The DTN satellite futures spread format will continue to show with the single year digit same as before in spite of DTN's new symbol having 2 digit year codes.
  • Support the change to the TWS Login form in TWS version 903.7 dated March 22nd. IB users who upgraded TWS need to get this Ensign Beta version.
  • Store a chart's font Italic property as part of a workspace file.
  • Updated the EDS for the TransAct feed to fix the double ticking observed on the =TFM0 symbol. All TransAct and Infinity users should upgrade to get the latest EDS version.
  • When a DTN Market Access refresh failed, the failure would prevent FXCM refresh from succeeding. This interaction has been fixed so FXCM refresh will succeed.
  • Added on the Database Manager for a selection to refresh intra-day data back 3 years for the IQFeed users.
  • Added hot key of CTRL+ALT+C to toggle the Show | Cursor On All Charts pop-up menu.
  • Added 2 selections to the Daily Price Lines tool: 'Point + Offset' and 'Point * Percent'. Point is the price of the mouse click point for drawing the tool. Offset and Percent come from the Level entry field.
  • Fixed the paper print of grid lines in sub-windows where were not showing.
  • Forex symbols on .ABBA and .COMP will now post to the Forex market group quote page.
  • Fixed ESPL GetStudy(handle,8) for the Pesavento Patterns to return the MinSize parameter.
  • Implemented Forex symbols on the TraderBytes feed. Example: -^EURUSD.

March 2010

  • Force Mar 14th Day Light Savings date to override older operating systems that are returning an April 4th date.
  • Fixed custom symbols for the DTN satellite data feed.
  • Released new EDS for the TransAct Futures feed to handle a change in the routing to the TA feed servers, and to receive a data feed without the need for the Order Entry platform to be running.
  • Fixed the IQFeed wherein use of the Options page would cause an accumulation to the symbol count that would not shrink back to an original count when the Option page was closed.
  • Implemented code to handle the DTN satellite wherein Futures and Future Option symbols will include a decade digit. The change should be transparent to the end user. Users will continue to use the existing single digit year such as @ES0H. DTN satellite and IQFeed to leave unchanged the 202x decade symbols. Example: NQH20 will use the two digit year of '20'. NGH10 will show in Ensign as NGH0.
  • Implemented refresh of Weekly and Monthly charts using the TraderBytes vendor source.
  • Added Percent Bands option to the VWAP study to calculate bands based on percent of price instead of on standard deviation.

February 2010

  • Added optional parameter to select the E-mail tab list using the ESPL EmailForm statement.
  • Fixed using DTN Market Access source to refresh IQFeed for @JYH0 to remember the Price Adjust of *100.
  • Price Alerts, Study Alerts, Price Action Study, Daily Price Lines, and Alarmed Draw Tools can e-mail alert messages. read more »
  • Added DYO statements to the Global Action category to e-mail messages, label text, charts, and workspace screen captures.
  • The Scheduler can e-mail messages and a workspace screen capture.
  • The ESPL langauge can add to the message content or attach chart images to the new e-mail feature.
  • Added DYO Chart Flag selections of First Bar of 1st Session, First Bar of 2nd Session, First Bar of Either Session, and First Bar of New Trade Day.
  • Added ESPL statements Remove(eCircle) and Remove(eRectangle) to remove draw tools of that type because Remove(eLine) removes all lines.
  • Improved the connection process for IQFeed to reliably connect large symbol lists containing over 500 symbols.

January 2010

  • Implemented code to handle the Options Symbology change coming to all vendor feeds. eSignal, Interactive Brokers, and IQFeed changed Feb 1st. read more »

  • Fixed the custom symbols updating from both FormT quotes and regular quotes during after market hours.
  • Added filter on tick database extraction for building tick based bars.
  • Updated exchange group for IQFeed indexes like SPX.XO and OEX.XO.
  • The IB feed sends a -1 for forex options after markets close. Ensign will prevent this from setting the Last and Low on the quote pages and charts.
  • Made backup on exit an option on the Setup | Charts form. And do backups into Sunday through Saturday sub-folders for each day of the week.
  • Added 8 tabs to the Workspace panel so workspace files can be better organized similar to the Template panel which has 8 tabs.
  • Updated the Bradley daily file to include data through 2014.
